Arthur Rackham inspired Illustration Fairytale Project...

I was inspired by the art of Victorian children's books such as the dark fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm. The most famous illustrator of the Golden Age of Illustration was Arthur Rackham, whose work I love! His illustrations are beautiful, whimsical and dark all rolled into one. Here is a visual study I carried out of his illustration 'Little Red Riding Hood'

For this painting I used pen and ink and then painted watercolour on top, in the same style as Rackham.
